Exeter: Southernhay office suite let

Acting on behalf of Varlin Investments, Stratton Creber Commercial agreed a new lease to Naomi J Ryan Estate Agents at 4 Southernhay West in November. The letting was the second letting we have done this year in Southernhay to a new estate agency practice.

 

Ashburton offices let

Acting on behalf of the NHS, Stratton Creber Commercial agreed a sublease to Millwood Homes of 3,693 sq ft of offices at the Linhay Business Park, Ashburton in December. The first floor remains available by way of a new sublease.

 

Exeter: Pynes Hill offices let

In November, a 2,000 sq ft office building was let at 5 Providence Court, Pynes Hill. The new tenant was Sidaways Chartered Accountants, and the asking rent was £23,000 per annum.

 

Honiton industrial unit sold

Unit F Reme Drive, on Honiton's Heathpark Industrial Estate, was sold in December to a private investor from Exeter. The unit was sold on behalf of Padcraft, following the previous sale of two adjacent units on their behalf.

 

Exeter retail deals

Three retail lettings completed in late November and December. 31 Cowick Street, formerly Missing Persons, was let to a cafe operator at a rent of £12,000pa; the former Alldays store in St David's Hill was assigned to a convenience store operator at a rent of £15,000pa; and 308 Topsham Road, a former letting agency, was let to Prestige Nursing at a rent of £6,600pa.

 

Sale of large factory unit in Axminster completed in less than 3 months

Having been instructed by the vendors of the 40,776 sq ft former Villager Stoves premises at Millwey Industrial Estate, Axminster in early August 2009, contracts for the sale of the premises were exchanged on 29th September 2009 with completion taking place on 20th October.  The asking price was £975,000 and the purchaser was a manufacturing company from Chard.

    

Mid Devon development nearly full

Ethmar Court is a development of 15 industrial units at Mid Devon Business Park, completed by London & Devonshire Trust at the end of 2008; details on www.mdbp.co.uk. Acting jointly with Keningtons, Stratton Creber Commercial have now agreed terms on the disposal all 15 units, although one unit is now re-available. Planning consent has now been obtained for a second phase of the scheme, to be called Highmount Court

 

 

New instructions

Newton Abbot industrial unit

A unit of 7,242 sq ft industrial unit on Newton Abbot's Milber estate is being offered either for sale or to let. The unit, formerly occupied by Exway Coachworks, has additional first floor offices and storage and is set on its own secure site.

 

Unique offices near Exeter and motorway

The Engine House is a former Victorian railway building which has recently been fully restored and fitted out as distinctive modern offices. It has come to the market with the benefit of the previous tenant's quality fit-out, and is available as a whole or as two units of around 1,574 sq ft each.
